Prospan Acute Effervescent Cough Tablet contains Special-Ivy-Extract (EA 575) which is clinically proven safe and effective for symptomatic treatment of both acute and chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases accompanied by coughing.

It can be used for symptomatic treatment of both acute and chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases accompanied by coughing. Clinically proven to be safe, effective and well-tolerated for all ages. It is non-drowsy, alchohol-free, sugar-free and colourant-free, with a pleasant taste. Comes in easy-to-carry effervescent tablets.
Directions
6-12 years: Morning 1/2 tablet, Evening 1/2 tablet.
Above 12 years: Morning 1 tablet, Evening 1/2 tablet.
The effervescent tablet can be broken into halves.
The tablet is dissolved in a glass of hot or cold water (approx. 100-200 ml) and taken in the morning and in the evening.
Ingredients
Each tablet contains 65 mg of ivy leaves dry extract (EA 575) (5 -7.5:1). Other ingredients: anhydrous citric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium carbonate, mannitol, simethicone, saccharin sodium dihydrate, acesulfame, aspartame, sodium citratre dihydrate, sorbitol, medium chain triglycerides, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, aroma. Each tablet contains 382 mg of carbohydrates (corresponding to 0.03 BU), 6.41 mmol (or 147.33 mg) of sodium and 29.7 mg of lactose.
Cautionary Instructions
Very rare: allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, swelling, skin redness or itching may occur after taking medicines containing ivy.
Uncommon: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea may occur in sensitive patients. There may be a laxative effect due to the sorbitol content.
