Description

It is used in the relief of mild diarrhoea. Kaomix contains Kaolin Mixture BP, an adsorbent, and when given by mouth adsorb toxic and other substances from the alimentary tract and increase the bulk of the feces.

Ingredients

Light Kaolin BP 20%w/v, Light Magnesium Carbonate BP 5% w/v, Sodium Bicarbonate BP 5% w/v

Directions

Children 3-5 years old: 5-10ml
Children 6 - 12 years old: 10-20ml
Adult and children over 12 years: 20-40ml
To be taken at the first sign of diarrhoea and after each subsequent bowel movement. Shake well before use.

Advice

Kaomix should not be taken for longer than 48 hours unless directed by a physician. Consult a doctor if the diarrhoea is not controlled within 48 hours or fever develops.
